Ever hit send on an important email and wonder if the recipient actually opened it? With Outlook, you can utilize read receipts to get confirmation. A read receipt is a notification sent back to you by the recipient’s email program indicating they’ve viewed your message.
While not foolproof
(recipients can disable sending read receipts), it can provide valuable assurance in critical communications. Here’s how to request read receipts in Outlook across various platforms:
Requesting Read Receipts in Know When They’ve Outlook Desktop (Windows & Mac):
- Compose your email: Open a new message and craft your email as usual.
